Terms of Service
By creating an account on Sekans Studio, you accept these terms. They're short and honest; read them.
The service
Sekans Studio is an online video editor: you upload a video, the platform proposes an edit (silence cuts, subtitles, sound, framing), you review, then you export the result.
Your account
You're responsible for what happens on your account. Provide a valid email address: it's how we warn you before your files are deleted.
Your content
Your videos remain entirely your property. You grant us only the technical right to process them (transcribe, edit, render) in order to provide the service.
You must have the rights to what you upload. No illegal content, no content that violates others' rights.
Subscriptions and payment
Plans are monthly, billed through Stripe, with quotas (videos per month, maximum duration per video). A free trial is offered at the start.
No refunds: all payments are final. You can cancel at any time; your access stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and you won't be billed again after that.
Unused monthly quota does not carry over to the next month.
File retention
Sekans is a working tool, not storage. Videos and renders are deleted automatically after a short period (currently 24 hours after processing). Downloading your work in time is your responsibility; an email warns you before every deletion.
Automated results
Transcripts, subtitles and edits are generated automatically and may contain errors, especially for Creole, where the technology is less mature. The editor exists so you can correct before publishing. You're responsible for the final content you distribute.
Availability
The service is provided as is. We work to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and features may evolve.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the last three months. We're not liable for indirect losses, including files you didn't download in time.
Suspension
We may suspend an account that violates these terms (illegal content, service abuse, payment fraud).
Changes
If these terms change in a meaningful way, we'll notify you. Continuing to use the service means accepting the new terms.
