Privacy Policy
Sekans Studio (sekansstudio.com) is an online video editor. This page explains what data we process, why, and what you can ask of us. We wrote it to be read, not to hide behind.
What we collect
Your account: name, email address and profile photo, managed by our authentication provider Clerk. We never see your password.
Your videos: the files you upload, plus the transcripts, subtitles and renders the platform generates from them.
Payment: handled by Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers.
Technical logs: errors, processing times, device type. They exist to run the service, not to profile you.
What we do with it
We use this data for one thing: providing the service. Transcribing your audio, generating subtitles, producing the final render, and emailing you when a video is ready or your files are about to be deleted.
Your private videos are not used to train AI models.
Automated processing
To generate subtitles, your video's audio is sent to transcription and language-processing providers. They process it on our behalf and may not use it for anything else.
How long we keep your files
Sekans is a tool, not an archive. Your videos and generated files are deleted automatically after a short period (currently 24 hours after processing). An email warns you before deletion so you can download your work.
Your account data (name, email, subscription history) is kept for as long as your account exists.
Who we share with
We don't sell your data to anyone. We work with providers that each process only what's needed: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payment), Railway (hosting and storage), Resend (email), and AI providers for transcription.
Cookies
We use two kinds of cookies: your login session and your language preference. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.
Security
All traffic goes over HTTPS. Access to your files is limited to your account, and email addresses are masked in our technical logs.
Your rights
You can view, correct or delete your data at any time. Deleting a project deletes its files. To delete your entire account, or for any question, write to us: bonjou@sekansstudio.com.
Children
The service is not intended for children under 13.
Changes
If these rules change in a meaningful way, we'll notify you by email or with a notice on the platform.
